What is the order of Will Smith movies?

Will Smith is one of the biggest movie stars in history. His films range from dramatic thrillers to action-packed comedies, and as you will see below, he’s been nominated for three Academy Awards. Here are all of his movies ranked from worst to best:

“The Karate Kid” (2010)

  • “The Karate Kid” (2010)
  • Starring: Will Smith and Jackie Chan
  • Directed by Harald Zwart
  • About a kid who moves to China and learns kung fu.
  • Rated PG for mild language and some martial arts action.

Released in 2010, this remake of the 1984 classic is rated 2.5/5 stars on IMDb and 2.5/5 stars on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s worth noting that although talented Dutch filmmaker Harald Zwart directed it, he had never before made an American film when this project was offered to him (he previously worked on The Pink Panther reboot).

“Men in Black 3” (2012)

The third instalment in the Men in Black franchise, Men in Black 3 stars Will Smith and Josh Brolin as agents J and K. The movie follows J as he travels back in time to save his best friend from being killed by an alien (Ron Perlman). To do so, he must first find a time machine and convince Agent K (Brolin) not to give up on life.

The story was written by Etan Cohen and Barry Sonnenfeld, who has directed all three of the Men in Black films. It premiered on May 25th 2012, at Cannes Film Festival, where it received mixed reviews from critics but was still considered overall favourable for audiences. The movie went on to gross over $625 million worldwide, making it one of Smith’s most successful movies since it was released during one of his most successful periods as an actor, which included roles like Hancock from 2008-2009 or Bad Boys II from 2003-2004

“Se7en” (1995)

“Se7en” was directed by David Fincher and starred Sean Penn, Morgan Freeman, and Brad Pitt. The movie follows two detectives (played by Penn and Freeman) trying to track down a serial killer who murders people based on the seven deadly sins. The film is based on the novel of the same name written by Andrew Kevin Walker. It won four Academy Awards: Best Film Editing, Best Sound Effects Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Music Score. “Se7en” is considered a cult classic today with its dark tone and plot twists that continue to shock audiences after multiple viewings.

“Bad Boys II” (2003)

Bad Boys II: The second instalment of the Bad Boys franchise focuses on Detectives Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence). They must stop a Cuban drug lord from obtaining a powerful bomb to destroy Miami.

The film was both a critical and financial success, earning $138 million domestically and $273 million worldwide. It generally received positive reviews from critics, who praised the cast’s performances but criticized its plot for being generic.

“Focus” (2015)

Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Rodrigo Santoro star in this film about a con man (Smith) who falls for his partner’s fiancée. It’s an intense romance with twists you won’t see coming. The cast is excellent, but the chemistry between Will Smith and Margot Robbie makes this movie stand out.

If you haven’t seen this movie yet, be sure to add it to your queue based on these reasons:

  • You love watching Will Smith play the charming con man. He does so well
  • You’re looking for something new from actor Rodrigo Santoro, who previously starred as King Xerxes in 300: Rise of an Empire

Following an unspecified catastrophe that has left the planet uninhabitable, father and son crash-land on Earth — which has become a hostile place. Unfortunately, the general is killed during this landing sequence; from there on out, it’s up to Kitai to survive in an environment where water is scarce, and other threats lurk around every corner.

“I Am Legend” (2007)

Will Smith stars in this film as Robert Neville, a virologist who lives in New York City after an outbreak of an artificial virus has wiped out nearly everyone on Earth. It’s been 28 months since the attack, and Neville is now the only person left in New York City. He must survive by himself when he discovers that there are some other human survivors scattered around the world. The movie follows his journey as he tries to find them while also battling other mutated creatures called “Dark Seekers”, or vampires as they were referred to during filming.[1]

The film was directed by Francis Lawrence and released in 2007 by Warner Bros., but did not do well at box offices at first but eventually made more money than expected due to DVD sales.[2] In addition to Will Smith’s performance being praised by critics, Charlize Theron won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Anna Lane.[3]

“Gemini Man” (2019)

“Gemini Man” (2019) is a science fiction film starring Will Smith and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. It was directed by Ang Lee, who also directed “Life of Pi.” The movie is about an ageing assassin who battles with an enhanced clone of himself.
